New Reports Available for Data Extensions

Last week we introduced you to the January update to the Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Dig deeper in the release notes and you’ll find some interesting additions to Reporting. Specifically, there are now two new standard reports for you to analyze a data extension.

Previously there were a couple of reports, “List Demographics” and “List Performance Over Time” that were limited, as the names suggest, to lists. No equivalent reports were available if you used data extensions instead. Now we have both!

Tip of the Week: Pre-Populating a Smart Capture Form

In last week’s Tip we introduced two types of forms that can be placed on your website to encourage list growth. That is only one example of how these forms could be used.

Another use of a form: you can send an email inviting subscribers to an event and collect their RSVP. You can have that form on a landing page that you’re directing subscribers to via a button/link in an email you send through the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget).

One popular method to bring in brand new subscribers is to place a signup form on your website. There are two options when adding a form to your site: Smart Capture and Web Collect. Make sure you pick the one that best fits your needs.
